Why you need to take action now
With much speculation over the Corporate Manslaughter Bill every senior manager needs to know about driving at work. It will make company directors much more accountable if they do not comply with health and safety law.
The new rules on health and safety now are very strict. If any of your employees are involved in a serious accident while driving on company business, the police must inform the Health and Safety Executive. If your health and safety policy is inadequate, the consequences for directors could include unlimited fines, director disqualification and even imprisonment.
Could a serious accident put your company out of business?
Driving at work is dangerous for business; it's probably the highest risk activity that they undertake at work - even more dangerous than construction or agriculture. The costs of accidents, both human and financial, can be very high.
